Assaulted by Negro. Lynchburg, Ya., July 24.?Mrs Susan Hogan, a widow, 40 years old was criminally assaulted last nigh about midnight in her house at Clar? ion, Campbell county, and at 10 o'clock this morning "Sel" Collin?, colored, was arrested on suspicion. He was taken belore Mrs Hogan, who was in such a state of collaps* that she could not say positively tfuv he was her assailaut, but thought hi waa the man.
