the purpose of letting contract for building
an addition to court house and attending to
such other business as may come before the
board that can be attended to at a special
meeting. Members all present, called to order
by the chairman.
Moved and carried that the resignation of
Geo. W, Lindauer as trustee of Rovohl town
ship be accepted.
Moved and carried to appoint a trustee for
Rovohl township. Decided by ballot in favor
of C.K.Smith.
Resignation of C D. Dumond, constable of
Hale township, accepted.
Bond of Robt. Waters, appointed justice of
the peace of Hale township, approved.
Bond of J. B. McGonigal as abstractor ap
proved. Moved and carried that the assessment of
personal property of E. A. Hall for the year
1888 to the amount of $1,460.00 be strickez.
from the tax roll for the reason that same
property .Tas assessed to 1st National Bank
and taxes paid.
Resignation of Roland Hockett, treasurer
of Hale township, accepted and Frank O'

the lower side to be 10ft studding-; roof to
have 3ft fall Plates to be 2x4 doubled; upper
joists to be 3x4 span 16 in. on centre; one
partition in centre of building- the 12ft way;
building-to be sheeted on out side and sided
with lap siding-. Roof to be sheeted tight and
covered with tin. Building- to have plain box
cornice with ten inch projection, to consist of
plancla frieze and facia crown and bed mould;
building-ta have four windows, two of which
are furnished, hung- with puliies; windows to
be 13x36 inches, four lights; one door to be

success and was well attended. Mr. Ames is a

Mr. Bavid Clark's wind mill was struck by
lightning-about two weeks ago, did not do
much damage, only splitting an oaken post
Mr. and Mrs. McGibbon, of Nebraska, who
came on a visit about two weeks ago, have
returned home with their son George and
daughters,Misses Mary and Agnes McGibbon.
George aad Miss Agues will come back to
sunny Kansas in the fall.
Rev. Armstrong- will preach a sermon at
Menlo faali Sudday evening at early lamp light.
There was a party at Mr. Glenn's Tuesday
