E. F. Young, Arizona agent for
the Mutual Benefit Life Insurance
Companv, was here from Phoenix
yesterday, leaving last night for
Hermosillo and Guaymas.

For the accommodation of the
traveling public the Cafe Monte
zuma js now being run day and
night, and the wants of passengers
from and for all trains are being
taken care of in the most approved
manner. The night service is all

Mr. 0. C. Ellison, of Guaymas,
the well known newspaper corres
pondent and ardent irrigation ex
ponent, spent Wednesday in the
line cities on a business visit. lie
recently returned from an extend-
ed trip through the lower Yaqui
valley.
The Junior Guild of St. Andrew's
Episcopal church will give a box
social at Armory Hall Jbnday
evening of next week, February
2th. An. excellent programme
has been arranged and a good time
is promised all who attend. There
will be no charge for admission
The district conference of the
Sonora district of the Northwest
Mexican Conference (annual), has
been in session at the Mexican
church since Wednesday. Al
- though the weather has been bad
a good, number have attended the
public services. The Annual Con
ference will commence its business
on Wednesday next at the Mexican
church. Bishop Candler preaches
every day. at 11 a.m. Service in
English at night in the American
church.
Mr. James B. Mix, who
