Bernard were visitors at Guaymas, guests at the Hotel Alrnado. . Mr. Kaoul Bigot, general mana ger for the Fundicion tie fcinaloa, with a branch at Guaymas, was at the latter place recently enroutej to the City of Mexico on business,! and is now in the federal capital. Mrs. J. B. Gordon, formerly in the trainmaster's office when it was at Nogales, has been trans ferred to the auditor's ofllce of the Sonora railway at Guaymas. Mr. G. Padres, long cashier in the station of the Sonora Railway at Guaymas, has resigned to take a position with the Banco Occi dental. He is succeeded by Mr. F. A. Sainz. Mr. and Mrs. Charleti Blenman from Tucson, arrived at Guaymas Sunday, to pass the holiday season amid the attractions of the Sonora j metropolis, and have been there j all the week. They are guests atj the hotel Alrnada. j Mr. A, S. Meeker, long in the ! ollice of General Manager J. II. Naugle of the Sonora railway, at Guaymas, has gone to Tucson to accept a similar position in the oilice of President Epes Randolph j of the Cananea, laqui River .v Pacific Railway. Tuesday State Senator 0. B. Ward of Colorado, who has located his family at Guaymas on account of the delicate health of Mrs. Ward, departed for Boulder, to bring to Sonora domestic help such as Mrs. Ward is accustomed to hav ing. He will return next week. Don Carlos Conant, who came into Guaymas from the Yaqui valley Sunday last stated to The Oasis man that such floods as have been experienced this winter along that stream have not been known before in fifty years. Great dam age has been done everywhere, and losses have been tremendous. Mr. Robert Johnson, many years master mechanic at Guaymas for the Sonora railwaywho was trans ferred to Tucson a couple of years ago, has returned to his first love, and is again with the Sonora. Extension of the Cananea, Yaqui & Pacific railway will throw into the Guaymas 6hop a vastly in creased amount of work, and with his long experience there he is con sidered most competent to handle it. Saturday evening the annual fiesta commenced at Guaymas, and the usual array of games, sports and pleasures was spread for public delectation. One noticeable feature was the re-appearance of gold upon the monte tables after many years' absence.
