A heavy run Monday depressed ri ees on fed steers, hut the market has been strong to 10 higher each j day for the past three days, in- eluding today. All elates are at, the highest Voint sinc! Janaryi iirst, and the situation is firm. Itange cattle have been .scarce this j week, hut some good Coforado j feeders sold Monday at $-1.45, j weighing UTS lb, and some Colora- j do feeders sold since then at $4.00, j and some medium Colorado stock-! ers at $3 SO. Feeder prices are j naturally higher than a short time ago. and the demand is extra good. Black native feeders weighing 1140 lb, sold at $5.20 this week. Some Western heifers have sold this week at $3.00 to $3.30 but she stuff has not been fairly represent ed. Top in the native division was $5.S0, bulk of corn fed steers at $4.50 to $5.25, with light weight fteers selling relatively the best. While receipts of cattle have been very heavy all, this year, heavy exports of meats have 'kept down stocks, and the large domestic con sumption has kept the channels open all the time. No break of anv ennsemienefi has iwnnw Conditions are slightly in favor I of mutton buyers, as the available supply continues large. The mar ket was lower Monday, but has made a recovery of 10 to 15 cents since then, but there does not seem ranch prospect of any substantial rise just now. Shortage of feed in some instance is forcing immature stuff forward, a feature which al-1 ways militates much against the j market. Desirable lambs are sel-j line in the last two days at $6.00 1 to $7.05, yearlings up to $6.15, a j big string of 117 lh wethers at $"- i 75, ewes $4.80 to $5.25.
