Will you kindly accept my resignation as a member f your committee. Geo. D. Gross. "The American Gentleman" the finest and handsomest shoe for gentlemen's wear, at the House, Ramon Vasquez. Red Subscribe for The Oash. 21 Monday to ."elect delegate to the county convention win live enough '',, the Hepnblican Territorial Commit- .I 1 i t 1 to please the most enthusiastic pol itician. Each of the three aspir ants for the sheriff j ftar had a ticket of nineteen nunts in the held and many of the proposed delegates were on two of the tickets ami sotoe of them on all three of the tickets. Of the nineteen dele gates elected to seats in the con vention, eighteen are men whose name appeared on more than one of the tickets. For that reason it is impossible to say which of the three candidates have the greater number of supporters among the delegates named. Nogales repub licans will be represented at the convention by the following dele gates: Milton Rohall, Frank Ir vine, W. N. Lester, J. A. Spink, Thos. Bayze. Rracey Curtis, R. II. Clark, 0. K. Franklin, K. L Crow ell, Karl L. Griswold, R. D. George, A. L. (itistettcr, Harry Williams, Barney Quinn, Pablo Soto, Jas. F. Traynor, Fred Melnnes, R. S. Shumway. Mr. Fred Herrera and Mr. II. Y. Kelsey tied for nine teenth place on the list. Mr. Herrera says Mr. Kelsey will have the seat. The democratic primary, held the same time, named the follow ing delegates: E. I). Miller, F. J. Duft'ey, Henry Levin, II. W. Pur dy, J. B. Moore. Last Saturday night the demo crats met in caucus and agreed to name fifteen candidates for the five seats in the democratic convention to be filled by the Nogales delega tion, and leave to the people the choice of delegates, the three dem ocratic candidates for sheriff to let the matter be settled in that wav. Monday, however, it was plainly noticeable that there was cam paigning going on in a quiet way to have a certain five of the fifteen named elected as delegates, de spite the alleged agreement. Friends of one of the candidates from the country now claim that he was jobbed. That the unqualified and un called for insult leveled at Doctor Bay Ferguson by the Republican Territorial Convention at Bisbee last week, has hurt and angered all of the doctor's friends in Santa Cruz county, goes without saying.
