Ail through these mighty years, he has never wavered, but was ever true and faithful to the work which the Master had called him to do. 3- As a deacon of many years, iie seemed to realize the great res- j lonsibility and deep solemnity of that i treat office, and performed the sacred I unctions well, and with good con- j eience, in fear of the Lord. 4— He was a man of strong charac ei and integrity. His word was his ■ond. He had none of the phariseei al blood in his veins, but on the ther hand was extremely modest, j 'referring to not let the left hand 1 now what the right hand did. For I hese traits especially, he was admir- j d, beloved and, enjoyed the utmost J anfidence of all. j 0—His home life was ideal. It is lid that a man’s character and reli ion may be judged by the life in his 5me, his care and solicitude for those ipendant upon him. Brother Ross as a kind, loving and indulgent hus md, never unmindful of the spiritual, e great secret of happy unions and i —y<1 «W 111'l " 'If,11 '^- 1. ..v county, which attested to the greai esteem in which he was held. 7— Whereas, It has pleased Al s-1 m>8'hty God, to take him from the 't1 walks of life, we know it was only h I a call to Come up Higher. Death a J loves a shining mark, and we are . assured from his life here, and his parting to .timony that he has in 1 herited the Crown of Righteousness. 8— Resolved, That we who are left. . amid the toils and perplexities of life i : in this world, may emulate the life Aof our departed brother, and be pre ij Pared to meet him in a world where , j sorrow, pain and death, is unknown, j 9—Resolved, That we deeply sym .) Pathiza with his faithful wife, bro ther and sister, in the great loss they have sustained.
