SOME DOINGS IN THE SOCIAL LIFE OF MANITOWOC Mrs. John Hewitt who has been visit ing at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hoffman, has returned to her home at Fond du Lac. Robert Lueth, who ha* been spending his vacation in Michigan, mis returned home. The Yonng Ladies' Sewing society met a the home of Miss Agnes Torri son Tuesday evening. Mrs. Smith of St. Paul, formerly Miss Laura Bock of this city, is visiting with her sister, Mrs. Will Richards. Mrs. Wm. Nelson entertained hist Thursday and Friday. Michael Haney of Algoma is visiting with his mother, Mn. M. Haney. Misses Grace and Mollie Pritchard left for Madison Monday. Hugo Hagen of Marinette is spending the week in the city. Will Schmidt left for Madison Mon day to continue his studies at the uni versity. Will Clark returned to Chicago Mon day to resume his studies in dentistry. Daniel Stronf of Racine is in the city on a visit to friends, The marriage of Anton Mlada of this city and Miss Julia Kaderaltek of Branch, took place at the home of the bride s parents Tuesday evening. The groom is a well know blacksmith of this city. They will reside here. Miss Annie Nagle is visiting in Mil waukee. Mrs. Frank Jones and her son George arrived home on Monday after a two week’s vacation spent in Chicago and Milwaukee. Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Kelley accom panied Capt. Timothy Kelley on a re cent lake trip. Mr. and Mrs. Kelley stopped over at Escanaba on their way onr to Buffalo. Mies Linda Kunz left Monday to en ter the Milwaukee Downer college. Mrs. Senn and Miss Lottie Ramus of Denver are visiting in Manitowoc. After a visit to Appleton Miss Julia Pasewalk is home again. Miss Iva Barker was home from She boygan to spend Sunday. The marriage of Miss Mary Kostlevy to Charles Rathsuck took place at St. Boniface church Tuesday morning. A social for the benefit of the North side Catholic church whs held at the home of Mrs. C. Cary, given jointly by Mrs. Cary and Mrs. Will Murphy on Tuesday. Quite a large gathering of people attended which netted consider able money. Music and other kinds of entertainment was provided. The Misses Emma and Minnie Roel er have returned from a Chicago and Mil wankee visit. After a few weeks spent in northern Michigan Miss Anna Krainik is home again. The marriage of Joseph Gass and Miss Minnie Ansorge took place at Newton at the home of the bride on Saturday last. Avery enjoyable evening was spent after the ceremony of marriage. Mr' and Mrs. John Strouf of Racine left for their home. Herman Sctiuette reached his twenty eighth birthday last Sunday, many (f his friends remembered it. by calling at his home and extending congratulations. In the evening a party was given, all who attended enjoying themselves. Miss Florence Roberts will attend Grafton College at Fond du Lac this year and left to take up her studies on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bremer, who visit ed relatives and friends in the city have returned to their homeat Indianapolis. Ind. Mrs. Will Nelson entertained last Friday. Mrs. A. C. Schiieter and Mrs. Frank Miller are home after a visit to St. Paul, Miss Elizabeth Morrison spent several days in Milwaukee last week. She re turned to her home on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Becker are in Milwaukee visiting. Mrs. Chambers, entertained the Fifth Ward school teachers at her home on Friday. Mrs. Williams is back home from Kenosha. Next month the various clubs will be in full swing. Many interesting pro grammes have been arranged. Ted Jones was home from Merril to spend Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. John Zimmer spent two weeks in Chicago, returning home on Friday. Miss Calla Guyles spent Sunday in the city. She returned to Appleton on Monday. Mrs, .1. Woida is home from a visit in Milwaukee. Dr. Keuner and Henry Hinrichs are at the western border of the state fish ing. Ed. McMahon left for Milwaukee. He is studying medicine. Edgar Mueller has gone to Madison to resume his studies. Arthur Wyseman leaves today for Harvard. Hugo Luhinan leaves for Harvard to day. Paul Schuette will return to Madison to pursue his studies in the course of a few’ days. Mrs. Geo. Bass enteitained the L. N. club Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Maud Hanson of Milwaukee is a guest of Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Windiate. The Deutsclier Club met at the home of Mrs. Richter Wednesday afternoon. Miss Georgia Monger was at Hhelsiy- gan, Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. John Me Faria ne and daughter Jean who were at Racine, re turned home Monday. Theo. Roemer is enrolled among the st idents at the Milwaukee Normal this year. Stephen McMahon, Paul and Walter Schuette and the Misses Pritchard are at Madiaon lo reaume their studies at the univeraity.
