Mrs. Otto and daughter, Irma, of Chicago, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Sommers. They returned home Monday. Mrs. M. H. Dempsey who has been a resident of the Holy Family hospital, has so far recovered that she has been removed to her home. Mrs. G. ‘.V. Kennedy has left the Holy Family hospital and is again at her N. Fifth street home. She is on the road to permanent health. The Bohemian society gave an im promptu party last Saturday night at the North Side Opera house. It was attended by about 100 couples. C. Otto Schmidt, of this city, J. P. Watt of Maple Grove, Peter Schroeder of Two Rivers and Thomas Gretz, of Newton, are in Milwaukee on business. Several Manitowoc ladies intend going to Madison to attend the “Junior Prom” given by the university students. Among those who will be present will be Miss Irma Schuette. The family of L. J. Anderson, who, for the past three months, have been stopping in the West will return to this city within the next few days. They come back from Walla Walla, Wash., to remain here permanently. The card party given under the aus pices of the young ladies of the Sacred Heart church on Friday evening of last week in the Knights of Columbus hall, was a success.
