C. Aultman & Co., | Henry H. Taylor, Manufacturers, Gen'l Western Ag't, Canton, Ohio. | Chicago, 18. TWO STYLES OF EOBSE TCWSSS. The Improved “ Carey” Power, (Both eight and ten horse.) THE “COMPENSATING” POWER, (Both eight and ten horse.) A laudable ambition exists among threshers to "own the best mactine in the neighborhood.” Nothing is more disagreeable to them than to have farmers com plain that their aork is not properly done, or to lose valuabb time by reason of breakages, and they can not be too careful in selecting a machine. The Sweepstakes is the accredited head of the Threshing Machine family, and its superior strength, durability, simplicity, ease of draft, style of finish, and capacity for threshing and cleaning grain faster and better than any other in the world, are acknowledged. The great reputation achieved by this favorite machine, h;is led several unscrupulous manu facturers. and numerous agents, to attach the name ••Sweepstakes.” in one way and another, to their machines, and advertisements to mislead and deceive. This is the essence of meanness—down right piracy, and sailing under false colors. To avoid the counterfeit, see that every machine has Mie card, “C. AULTMAN & CO., Manufacturers, Canton, Ohio,” in gilt letters, conspicuously on both sides of tbe Separator. •) The Genuine Sweepstakes enables the thresher to pick his customers, seldom etope for re pairs. lasts much longer than others, saves much grumbling and vexation, does the same amount of work o ith leas labor, and enables him to select the best and most profitable jobs. The farmers give it the preference, and often an extra price per bnehel, because it threshes clean from the heads, separates perfectly from the straw, cleans fit for market without waste, saves all the grain, does its work with the utmost speed, safety and economy, and does not keep a gang of men ana teams about them on expense. The elegant “ Patent Pivot Side Gear ’• is to be found owy on the “ Sweepstakes.” Our “Patent Cleaning Apparatus” en ables the operator to control the direction of the blast, and position of the selves, and clean either heavy or light grain, without waste, « fast as it can be threshed —the chaff and dirt being wftrated from the grain before it strikes the stive at Separators, Horse Pvwrers, Straw- Stackers, Gears, or Jacks, *old sepa rated, when desired. A written warranty de livered with every machine. The “SWEEPSTAKES” is usually a very'scarce article after harvest, and par ties should order early. Call or send and get a pamphlet circular giving a full description and particulars, together with numerous certificates, and the names and resi dence of over three thousand persons who have nought and used the Sweepstakes in Illinois, lows, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Kansas, alone.
