George Richardson has purchased the Charley Zarbuck place and will move there soon. Mrs. Flora Knapp returned I hursday from a visit to her father in the town of Olivet. Mr. and Mrs. A Cttman of Ells worth are spending part of the week at the home of their son Frank here L ranklin Knapp went to Diamond Bluff Saturday with a load of vege rabies and sundries for Mrs. Jewett Mrs. E. A. Severance went to Minneapolis Tuesday to spend a couple of weeks with her sons, Wm. tnd Dell. The C. E. (assisted by the neigh borhood) is planning on giving a 1 hanksgiving dinner at the church on November 30 Everybody in vited. Fred Preble’s threshing outfit ex pects to finish up their work this week. They threshed at D. Gree ley’s and F. A. Severance’s the first of the week. Gustave Anderson, living about two miles east of Beldenville, com mitted suicide by taking paris green .and then shooting himself thiough tie head last Friday, in the woods on the farm of his son. The body was found on Sunday by some boys who were out hunting. An inquest was held on Monday. The date of the funeral is not known at this writing. EIM A Hallowe’en dance was held in Hawji’s Hall. A good deal of poultry was ship ped from here Monday. The potato crop was larger and better than was expected. David Rice, wno suffered a para lytic stroke about three weeks ago, is very low. Mr. Johnson of St Paul and Mr. Lowater of Chippewa Falls gave a lecture on Florida with sterioptican illustrations, in the interests of the Inland Realty Co , for which they are selling land in Florida. The at tendance was large and interested. Mrs. Caroline Burt, aged 79, was stricken with paralysis Oct. 25, and died Oct 29 at the residence of her nephew, G- o. Sheldon. Mrs. Burt came from Vermont after the death of her husband, in 1893, *° make her home with her si-ter, the late Mrs. C. A Hawn. After the death of the latt« r she lived with her neph ews, J. L. and C D. Hawn and Geo. Sheldon. Her sister, Mrs. Sarah Chenev of Rochester, Minn and brother, D. L White of Spring Valley were present at the funeral. Roswell Frazier and family have moved from Hudson to David Frazier’s farm. A delightful party was given the voting people by Mr and Mrs. Fred Kurtz, Jr., Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Crawford were visitors at Mr. and Mrs. Craw ford’s the first of the week. Mr. and Mrs. Chris Madsen and Carl Munckholm spent Saturday and Sunday in the Twin Cities. Master William Fuller celebrated his eleventh birthday by giving a party to some of his friends Satur day. Gus Hornstone was married Tues day to a lady from Dane county. They are at home on the old John Hamilton farm. Mrs. Geo. Fuller writes of being at Phoenix. About 30 ladies were present, being from 13 different states. Miss Ada Fuller is much improved in health and is attending school. Services every Sunday at two o’clock. Come and do your part and bring your neighbors. A church means much to a commun ity.
