The Indian Commissioner has in formed the Adams Express Company that he has issued orders to the employes on the Smoky Hill route to Denver City to shoot every Indian within shooting distance, and to show them no mercy. Gen. Hancock ordered every Indian found north of the Arkansas and South Piatt rivers to be shot A man named Underwood, under sen tence of death for murder in South Carolina, informed General Sickles that the killing was done while aiding Union soldiers to escape at the risk of his own life.
