On Monday last, Gilberts new play, entitled Randall's Thumb, was acted for the first time in America, At Lina Edwin's Theater, New York Puck and Rank have been presented during the week to meager audiences. At the Fifth Avenuue Theater, New York, Mr. Matthews has been making a hit as "Sir Fretful Plagiary," in the Critic, and as "Sir Charles Coldstream," in Used Up. Some days since a decree of divorce was granted by Judge Cnrdozo to Mrs. Mary A. Myron, from her husband Dan Myron. She will henceforth be known on the stage aa Miss Mary hafford. E. L. Davenport has been playing a series of leading characters at Niblo s Garden, and was succeeded last week by Chanfrau. Miss Rosa Evans, a young tragedienne, recently arrived in New York, and will make her debut in a few weeks. Miss Louisa Kellogg sang last week in Riggoletto, Sicilian Vespers and Faust, at the New York Academy of Music. At the Holliday Street Theater, Balti more, the Siege of Jerusulem, or the Old Man of the Mountain, a legendary and historical drama, has had quite a run. The scenes introduce the Moslems and Crusaders. At Omaha, Edwin Adams has been playing Enoch Arden, Othello, Lady of Lyons and Wild Oats. The Black Crook is in its last gasp at Pittsburg, Pa. The Chapman Sisters are delighting the people of Savannah, Gn In San Francisco, Joseph Proctor has been appearing in Solon Shingle in the title role, and in Rip Van Winkle. Mr. Raymond has been playing in London Assurance and Rip Van Winkle. In Nevada City, Daniel E. Banflman and wife have been appearing in the Lady of Lyons and Narcisse.
