Default having been made to the conditions
of a certain mortgage, whereby the power
therein contained to sell ban bsconie operative,
executed by George W. Bowman, of the tewn-
sliip of V orter. Van Uuren county, aiicnigin.

County, Michigan, bearing date the twenty
cm day of October, one tbouaand eight hun
dred and seventy-two, and recorded in the
office of the Register of Deeds for the county
cf Van liuren, Michigan, on the twentieth day
of October, eighteen hundred and seventy
three, in liber four of mortgages on page two
hundred and fifty-seven, upon which mortgage
there is due at the date or this notice, tbe sum
or one hundred dollars and interest
from October tweuty-firs, 1876, and no suit
or proceedings at law or in equity
having been instituted to recover tbe same or
any part thereor. Notice is therefore hereby
oven that on Monday, tbe tiret day of
inly, one thousand eight hundred andeeventy-
eight. at eleven o clock in tue rorenoon, l snau
sell at public auction or vendue, to tbe highest
bidder, at the front door of the Van liuren
county circuit Court House, in the village of
Paw Paw, the prdmises described in said mort
gage, cr so much thereof as shall be necessary
to satisfy tbe amount then due on said mort
gage, with tbe interest thereon and legal costs,
together with an attorney fee of fifty dollars
covenanted for therein, tbat is to say, the fol
lowing piece or parcel of land lying and being
in tha township of I'orter, Van Buren County
Michigan, viz: The north west quarter of the
tiorth west quarter of section number twenty
evenof township number four south of range
cumber thirteen west and containing forty
acres, according to tbe United states survey.

Luren and State of Michigan ou tbe'firstday
of November, A. D. 1875. in liber 12 of mort
gage on page 471 and there is now due and
unpaid at this date upon aaid mortgage and
uote accompanying tbe same, tbe sum of one
hundred and thirty dollars ($130) and tbe
tame is for interest overdue on said mortgage
and an attorney fee of thirty dollars pro
vided for in said mortgage and no proceedings
having been instituted at law or in equity to
recover said debt er any part thereof. Now.
therefore, notice is hereby given, that by vir
tue of the power of sale iu said mortgage con
tained the undersigned will on Monday the
twenty-moth day of July. A. D. 1878. at the
hour of ten 10 o'clock A. M.. at the front
door of the Court House in the village of Taw
I'aw in the county of Van Buren and State of
Michigan, that being the place of holding the
circuit court for said county, sell at public
vendue to the highest bidder the premises de
teribed in said mortgage or eufllcient thereof
to pay said debt and the interest thereon at
ten per cent., the attorney fee. costs and ex
penses of said Kale. Said mortgaged premises
tre described as the north west quarter of the
cortli west quarter of section two 2 town
one 1 south of range sixteen 16 west
containing forty acres more or lees.

county of Van Buren, boldeu at the probate
office, in the villago of I'aw Paw, on Friday the
17th day of May, in tbe year one thousand
eight hundred and eeventy-eight : Present,
Hon. Josiab L. Hawee, Circuit Jude, actio, as
Judge of Probate. In the matter of the estate
of Elizabeth Carlisle, deceaeed. On reading
and filing the representation of Edward Ryan,
administrator of tbe estate of said deceased,
that he is now prepared to render a final ac
count of all tbe moneys, goods, chattels and
other property that has come to his hands as
such administrator belonging to said estate
with tbe proceeds and expenditures thereof.
Thereupon it is ordered, that Monday, the 21th
day of June, 1878, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon,
be assigned for the healing of saij petition,
and all persons interested in said estate, are
required to appear at a session of siid court,
theu to be holuen at the probate office, in the
vdiage of Paw Paw, and hhow cause, if any
there be, why the said account should not be
allowed : And it is further orderod, that said

tbat ou Monday the 29th day or July. A. D.
1878, at two 2 o'clock in the afternoon of

highest bidder by the Sheriff of said county at
the front door of tbe Court House in Paw I'aw
