Miss Maude McFarlin and mother vlsite dlast week at the Charles Day ton home. I Mr. Barley of Milwaukee arrived at 'the Amann home for a weeks visit. '.Mrs. Barley and children have been 'guests there for the past two weeks. Little Davey Deaner is ill. The haying season is past, thresh ing and picking pickles are the popu- lar jobs now. Ted Demory is home from Kalama zoo and is working for Fred Otten. Mr. Pugsley has a severe attack of heart trouble but is improving now. Mrs. Wellover has gone to live with her son near Washington, D. C. Mrs.'Bockspcnt several days of last week in Kalamazoo. The band concert Thursday evening was fine. Mrs. J. W. French of Ann Arbor is visiting her daughter, Mrs Dr. Bennett.! Gault and Graves shipped a car of old potatoes last week which was prob ably the latest date of a carload in many years. Katherine Kramer visited last week with her grand-parents in Kalamazoo. Louis Bogarde hasretur ned from France where he has been for more than a year. Mrs. Don Forbes left Sunday to join her husband in Reno, Nevada. Mr. Forbes has a fine position as pri vate secretary at that place. Dr. D. M. Dayton visited his father C. W. Dayton for a few days last week leaving Saturday for a trip to North Dakota to visit his brother Archie and family, and sister Mrs. Will Markellie and family Little Johnnie Hemmay had the misfortune to run a fish hook into his hand on Monday.
