The grasshoppers have at last nade'

bers too. For the last few davs the
country has been swarming with then.
They ean be seen flying thick through
the air, and very much resemble a
heavy snow storm, w e suppose it is
rather late in the season for them to
injure tbe crops to any serious extent,
but very much fear that they are lay
ing plans for future operations, proba
bly by next spring when they may
commit serious depredations. We are

At Johnstown, Pennsylvania, a large
