Twenty-Second Tear. Established Oct. 18, 1851. A ( reiiileman from the Rural Districts came to this city a few davs aso to purchase a hirge lot of Carpets, Oil Cloth, Blankets, Flannels, Cassimercs, Jeans, Muslins, Dress floods, Ac, &c. He asked a MAN where he could find the best assortment of such goods ; the man being honest, told him to go to the Boston Bazaar, where he had FOUND the largest and best stock o goods he had ever seen. The rural gent thought he would look through the different stores in this city and Davenport, and compare the goods and prices before purchasing. He called at an old established Carpet House in this citv, and also at several stores in laenport, and after along and careful examination oi goods and prices, he re turned to this city, thoroughly disgusted with what he had seen, and almost DEAD with fatigue. He came into the Bazaar in a very bad humor, and he declared he could buy goods cheaper than they had been offered him. iu any little country store.
