Charles Parish, will be as follows
Palm Sunday, March 24th
1st Mass at Luling at 7:30 A. M., at
Holy Rosary Church, 10 A. M. Solemn
Blessing of ths Palms, followed by the
Procession and High Mass
At 4 P. M, Way of the Cross and Bene
diction of the Most Blessed Sacrament
Holy Thursday, at 8 A. M., Solemn
High Mass. Procession to the Repository
Stripping of the Altars
At 4 P. M . Sermon on the Institution
of the Holy Eucharist. Singing of the
Siabat Mater
At night, from 9 to 10, Exercise of the

During the day, th~ adoration of the
Blessed Sacrament will be kept by the
members of the Alter's Society and the
league of the Sacred Heart

On Saturday April 6th, a Mass will be
said at Paradis in order to enable the
people of this place to perform their
Easter duties
The Reverend Pastor extends his wish
vs for a peaceful Easter and calls upon
them the blessings of the Almighty.
May the Lord gloriously risen from the
dead grant to all his graces and favors
and make our beloved parish happy and
prosperous more and more
On Tuesday March 19th, St. Joseph s
day, for the first time in the life of the
parish, the small children will receive
Holy Communion in a body in order to
perform as requested by the mother
church their Easter duty and receive the

dinance adopted by the Police Jury of
the Pansii of St. Charles, the Police Ju
ry of the Parish of St. Charles will re
:eive seal proposals for the purchase at
not les* than par and accrued interest of
a certain road bond issue of Seventy
Thousand dollars ($70,000.00) authorized
by road district No. 2 of the Parish of
St. Charles at an election held in said
district on the 27th, day of March 1917.
The bid wall be accompanied by certi
fied cheque to the order of the President
of the Police Jury of the Parish of St.
Charles, certified by a Louisiana Bank,
for Twenty Five hundred dollars ($2500.
00); the cheque of the successful bidder
will be credited on bis purchase price or
forfeited to the Parish of St. Charles in
the event of his failure to fulfill the con
ditions of his bid. The cheques of all nn
successful bidders will be returned to
them on rejection of their bid
The successful bidder will be furnish
ed a proper legal opinion as to the validi
dity of the bonds at the expense of the
Parish
All bids must be unconditional and ad
dressed to the Police Pury of the Parish
of St. Charles, Hahnville, Louisiana
with a statement on the envelope that it
contains a bid for the bond issue offered
and the said bids will be opened in pub
lic session at ten o'clock A. M.,on Satur
day, March 23rd, 1918, at Hahnville,
Louisiana. The Police Jury reserves the
right to reject any aud all bids
