The government ii ' ft Fixions that every citizen own a( least a few Liberty bonde, and thos« who ar© shown on the record not te I have invested at all will be especiaUj ' solicited. Reports from the county chairmes of Liberty Loan committees to W. C Ward law, district executive chairman, And St EH mo Mae sengale, director ol publicity, indicate absolute optimism tor the Fourth loan, despite the high er quotes assigned every territory. **Our people have given their sons And brothers to this war," they say "Do you think they are not going U back up the boys with their dollars?" •'Our Southern farmers, too, hava been taught the value of bonds as an investment, too. The other campaigns were campaigns of education, but thU isn't so necessary now. Every man who has a bond or two tucked away his strong box or in the bank is anxious to put a few of the Fourth issue beside them." The campaign for the Fourth loan Will continue only three weeks, from September 39 to October 19, inclusive. Within that tftne each county and state must ralw its quota. It will take hard work on the part of the commit tees, and this will be made much eas 1 er by every man's making up his mind what he can invest in bonds and meeting the committee half way. FOURTH LIBERTY LOAN CAMPAIGN IS AT HAND The Fourth Liberty Loan campaign, to give every American an opportunity to lend to his own government mosey to win the war and drive the Hnn back over the Shine is now at hand. In every county in the state there is a Liberty Loan committee, composed of loyal, energetic citizens, who are sub scribing liberally themselves and en couraging others to subscribe. It is believed that the task of ob taining subscriptions will be far eas ier in this loan than in the past, de spite the greatly increased quotas given every *o*e and county. For, surely the American people have learned by this time what a Liberty Loan meaas, wtstt it wtll do for the country and what it will dö for tfte |f man, whether ho top farmer or mer chant or laborer, wbo saves bis mon ey and lends It, with interest, to tincle Sara. ThOrn is really no rea son why Sip loyel American should have to cbtte another loyal American all over À ten-Acre field to ask him j to It d 0 ie h ^Ä that in this campaign a much greater proportion of citizens j will go voluntarily to the banks or to the committee and make their sub ecription directly, obtaining a Liberty Loan button and thus declaring they have done their duty te their country. A great many of o W çitizena havo j^gtered for the new draft, but they that there is but »light oppor tunlty ^ their services being actually required in the war. It would be an thing if these men whose jeunes are now on the roll and wbo , forf sure of exemption because of age ^ fa^iy dependents or dlsabilKJea J would oonaider themselves, even now, j «tn the service" and devote whatever : 0 f their income they can spar* 1 fc, lending to their gev*rnment. , The war is costing the United sixty-seven million dollars a i gay. it is odr war, our war bill, and St Is up to us to pay It.
