[iovernor and Lieutenant Governor) and mem
bers of tlm Legislature. The Ilard-shells. Soft
,|,ells, Americans and Republicans, each bad a
ieket for State officers. Tho liberals or oppo
nents of the Maine Law supported the Soft-shell
licket. In this city, in addition to State officers,
xe voted for local officers, (except Mayor,) and
ihe Whigs and Reformers lmd also a ticket in the
bid. making six regular tickets in this city, bo
lides a number of irregular ones.
The city has certainly been swept by the Know
Kothlngs; and from present indications tlio State
ms probably gone the same witv. but the returns

te. The Gubernatorial candidates were Beach,
Via., Gardner, K. N.. Walloy,Whig,and Rock
t.U, Republican. The Liberal Party voted for
loach as their candidate for Governor, and all
he Whig ticket for State, officers, except tho
Utnruev General, who was selected from tho
(emocratic ticket. The vole last year stood
