REPORT on Graysport Road in heat 1 of Grenada County. Gentlemen: On September 9th, 1920, I, W. C. Hudson, as engineer for Grenada County, went with two members of your Honorable Board over the new Graysport road in Beat 1> to look over the report on its con dition after the contractor had re one place being about 1-4 of a mile long, and the other two were short changes, the first change was made East of Tom Ran's orchard, the 1-4 mile change was on the W. B. Hoffa | place, and the other change was in a curve just east of Gibbs creek; the last mentioned was only slight but in a curve just off of a. bridge that was set bias to the road line causing the change to look greater than it would look had the bridge been set on the line with the road." m . ,, , - , To get the amount of yardage put up where these changes have been made, the Bar pits would have to be measured and to pret the yardage where the contractor followed the surveyed line, would only require cheek lines to be run over the road and to see if the fills were up grade The changing of locations from the stake lines caused the road to have a ragged appearance and does not show up well for inspection. It also helps to prevent fires spreading from building to building by means of sparks and burning embers. Where fires have started in other parts of the building, Certain-teed Roofs tend to smother them and thereby prevent serious damage to other property. This type of protection is appreciated by all property owners and particularly by those who are outside of the zone of adequate fire-fighting apparatus. But Certain-teed Roofing is more than an aid in the prevention of fire. It also protects from rain or snow and is guar anteed for five, ten or fifteen years, ac cording to weight. It costs less to buy, less to lay and less to maintain than any other type of good roofing. See a Certain-teed dealer about roofing.
