GOVERNOR MURPHY ~ SIGNED 132 BILLS.: Child Labor Law Is Approved But Bill Prohibiting Use of American Flag For Advertising Vetoed. Trenton, April 10. ? Gov. Murphy approved today 182 bills passed by the recent Legislature and vetoed 11. Among the bills vetoed were those providing for a register of deeds for Union County; prohibiting'the'use of the American flag for commercial pur poses, vetoed because of a defect in the title, and preventing 'the sale of cigarettes to boys. Among the bills "approved ^were the railroad codification bill and that appropriating $80,000 to Rutgers Col lege, the amount due for free scholar ships oreated under an act of the Leg islature. Approval was also given to these measures : The Jersey City Excise bill, author izing the use of voting machines, fix ing September 22 as special election day to vote on the Constitutional amendment, ratifying the action of the special commission on boundary between New Jersey and Delaware; the Child Labor bill, preventing the employment of ohildren under four teen years of age in factories ; the bill revising the tax laws of the State, revising the building and loan laws, providing special courts in oounties for juvenile offenders, permitting gas companies to convey gas from one municipality to another, providing for a special commission to report next year a bill for the regulation of tenement houses.
