It is highly probable that Jim Jeff ries' next championship battle will be held in Mexico. President Diaz, has issued an order allowing prize-fights in any State in the Republic, provid ing the consent of the Governor of that State is secured. As the consent of the Governor of Chihuahua can be secured, the pro moters are already going ahead form ing plans to build a big club house in Juarez and arrange to secure many sporting events that are now held in the Eastern cities. The first fight will occur May 9. Fans Getting Nervous. The baseball fans are beginning to get excited. The Marions will get together for the first time this season on Saturday in a practice game with the Crescents. The week following the season opens in earnest with a game with Everett Oollege. The new royal train lately built by the London and Northwestern Railway company consists of two saloons ? one for the king and the other for tine queen and Princess Victoria ? three sa loons for the suite, and two- brake vans, say? the London Globe. The saloons, which are on 12-wheel bogies, are each 69 feet six inches in length over the buffers, and there is a straight run of nearly 400 feet from end to end of the train, which weighs 210 tons. The interiors of the royal saloons are lux uriously furnished. The king's smok ing room is paneled in mahogany, with inlays of rosewood and satinwood. The chairs are upholstered in green leath er, and the curtains, carpet, etc., are in similar tones of color, while the gilding of the metal work has been sub dued in effect to keep the whole rest ful to the eye. The king's day compart ment in the same saloon is decorated in the colonial style, and is in white enamel. The furniture is'of satinwood inlaid with ivory. This room also is in green, though of a lighter tone. The windows are unusually large. The spe cial features in this and the other rooms are the methods of heating or cooling Electric heaters have b^en Introduced, and each room can oe heated up to any temperature desired. For the hot weather electric waving fans will help to keep the t emperature down, and these fans can be regulated so as to be driven at anytof three rates of speed. If desired, the windows can be lowered, and fine dust-proof ventila tors inserted.
