?MARIONS' TEAM FOR ~
THEIR FIRST CAME.
4 'Mike" Leonard Has Been Secured
For Third Base And He May
Play The Entire Season.
The complete line-ap of the Marions
that will take the field in the opening
game against Everett College on May
$ has now been annonnoed and it is as
follows !
Connelly, catcher;
Bochelle. pitcher;
Galvin, first base ;
Hoffner, second base ;
Cusick, short stop;
Leonard, third base;
Traeger, left field ;
Lvoub, centre field :
Kelly, right field.
The only player in the above list
not previously announced is "Mike"
Leonard, who has been seo tired to
cover the third sack. Leonard's play
ing is a known quantity to the fans
as he has appeared here for several
years with the Orange team. His
work at third and with the stick al
ways exoited favorable oomment from
local patrons of the game and they
often expressed the wish that he be
?seen in a Marion uniform. The man
agers of the locals were aware of >the
desires of the fans and they set about
to secure the star infielder. While it
is not yet definitely settled that he
will play here the entire season, owing
to his having agreed to plav on an
other team after Mav 16, yet he is en
deavoring to get his release from the
=agrt)ement and there is every prospect
that he will do so and be free to join
the Marions ? a consummation devout
ly to be wished. Leonard is perma
nently employed in New York and his
acquisition would be in line with the
annonnoed policy of the team to play
only men who could be depended on
to be on hand for every game. Ousick
would have a star partner in Leonard
And the pair would go far towards
furnishing the Marions with the live
liest infield hereabout.

Lawrence Daly, the proprietor of
the Pennsvlvania Hotel, is now trying
to make arrangements with two mem
bers of the famous Co boy Shufflebo.ud
Association, of Newark, to give an
exhibition game at his hotel one night
next week. If the arrangements can
be made with the association so that
the two players oad come here a large
crowd will no doubt be out to see
them. A shuffleboard game by an ex
pert player is a thing seldom seen in
Perth Amboy and there are plenty of
men anxious to learn the game.

Mrs. E. F. Hennison, of 414 Warren

discovered it. I had sores on my arms

went to a drng store and got a box of
Doan's Ointment. I began to use it
on my arms and in a short time the

Dreadful Attack of Whooping Oongh.
Mrs. Ellen Harlison, of 800 Park

follows: "Onr two children had a
severe attack of whooping cough, one
of them in the paroxysm of coughing

called in our family doctor who pre
