READY FOR TONIGHT'S WRESTLING MATCH. Hansen Says he will Throw Shar key if it Takes all Night to do it The work of putting the platform up in Wilder Hall, Smith street, for the wrestling match between H. P. Hansen, the Danish champion of this citv, and Tom Sharkey, the Irish wonder, is now completed. Both wrestlers are determined and one of | the best bonts this oity has rver seen is promised. That it will be a hardfought match there is no donbt. In the last Han sen-Sharkey match, Hansen was com pelled to throw Sharkey twice in an hour catch as-catch-can style, but this time Sharkey will not be on the de fensive all the time as the match is to be for the best two out of three fallB, catch-as-catch-can style. Hansen says he will make the Irish man work as he never worked before, claiming that he will throw Sharkey if it takes all night to do it. In the preliminaries yOung "John nie" Dwyer will do his best to down "Steve" Decker two out of three times oatoh-as-catch-can style. Young Dwyer says he is in fine condition and hopes to come out on top. J. Jones, of South Amboy, will referee the main bout. WRESTLING GOSSIP. Tom Jenkins, who is now in fine condition, says: "During the week of May 17 I am going to do something no other Americau wrestler has attempted before. I have arranged matches for almost every night during the week. Beginning Monday at Montreal I will wrestle Carl Pons, whose correct name is Alois Gonthier. On the following night of the same week I will wrestle Gus Ruhlin, Tom Sharkey, August Faust, Leo Pardello and another man. I just do this for the purpose of showing the public that I am always ready to go on the mat when there is any monoy in sight. After I am through with those I have already mentioned I will give both Jim Parr and Dan MoLeod another chanco if they desire it". Jack Burse, the former pugilist, who holds the record for surviving the longest fight on record, 110 rounds, with Andy Bowen, is in New York. Burke has branched out as a wrestling promoter and is looking very prosper ous. Burke makes his home at Scheneotady. He said: "I am in New York to arrange a wiestling carnival between'all of the top notch wrestlers. Thus far I have secured Tom Sharkey, Leo Pardello and August Faust. The first bout will be between Pardello and Sharkey and will be held in a few weeks. They will meet at straight catch-as-catch-can style. I am looking for a fit opponent for Faust and may engage either Gustave Gustavsen, the Swede, or Oarl Pons to go on with him. Sohenectady is a ratttling good sporting and business town and the bouts will draw big crowds. ' ' FACTORY TEAMS CROSS BATS Perth Amboy Terra Cotta and Raritan Copper Works to Meet Saturday.
