IN HONOR OF JOHN WESLEY. ? ?j Methodists will Hold Special Services on Sunday Through out the Country. PROMINENT SPEAKER. The Simpson M. E. chnrch, like all the Methodist, churches throughout the oountry, will observe the bi-oen tennial of the birth of John Wesley, the founder of Methodism, on Sunday. The special services in the morning, afternoon and evening as announced by the pastor, will be carried out in full and an effort made to make it one of the Sundays long to be remem bered by Methodists in this city. The devotional meeting will begin at 9.30 a. m. and at 10.30 the Rev. A. B. Richardson, D. D., one of the greatest preachers in the denomina tion, will deliver the sermon. At 6.30 p. m. a John Wesley Mis sionary meeting will be led by Mrs. Jane Overington, President of the missionary sooiety, and again at 7.30 Dr. Richardson will deliver a lecture on "John Wesley the Methodist." Dr. Richardson is doubtless one of the most oompetent to deliver this discourse, having visited Epworth Rectory where John Wesley was born, the Charter House school, where Wes ley was fitted for college, and Oxford and London and the main places asso ciated with hia life and works. POLICE COURT NEWS. Joe Wovinsky, of Hall avenue, was sent to the county jair for thirty days this morning where he will probably be examined as to his sanity. The police are inclined to believe that he is either insane or else he is suffering from a bad attack of delirium tremens.
