Danze resulted in a verdict of murder in the first degree. Hossey was indict ed with Mrs. Catherine Danze, widow of William G. Danze. who is charged with administering to her hudhand poi son furnished by the "doctor." She is awaiting trial. Several houses in the suburbs collapsed and nearly all the buildings In the town were more or less damaged. The Inhabitants were panic stricken. President Roosevelt has completed arrangements to east off the active burdens of gov ernment for the summer. By way of a prelude the president led a party of congenial friends on horseback last evening to the picturesquely situated log cabin of the Dickey family on the Virginia shore' of the Potomac river. The president had arranged a little sur prise for Mrs. Dickey, who had been notified to prepare a fried chicken din ner for seven gentlemen.
