DELTAS, DEFEATED CRESCENTS The Delta baseball team defeated tho Orescent baseball team yesterday afternoon at the Koasbey diamond by a sooro of 12 to 9. For a long time tho Deltas have had a standing chal lenge against the Crescents, bat that team did not soem to pay any atten tion to Manager Brain. So when the Doltas came out tho winners there was groat sorrow in the ranks of the Oresconts. The game commenced at 2.30 an ended at 4.30. The Deltas battery was Oleson and Yates. The battory for the Crescents was Oleary and Costello. WERE DEFEATED HERE. The Atlantic Terra Cotta baseball team, of Tottenville, came over to Perth Amboy Saturday afternoon. They were defeated at the Keasbey diamond by the Perth Amboy Terra Cotta first baseball toam. The soore was 5 to 4. The battery for the At lantic were McGovern and Heard. The local team's battery was Grimley and Linderberg. WENT TO MIDLAND. Century Wheelmen, of Newark, lf>xirty-fiv? strong, passed through town at 8.30 o'clock yesterday morn ing. They went to Midland Beach, Staten Island, whero they had dinner. They came back through town at 4 o'clock. GAME POSTPONED. HHHhHH WRESTLING GOSSIP The match between Jim Parr and Dan McLeoct, which was to have been decided at Buffalo this month, has been called off. It appoars that the club which promoted the contest did not think it would draw in view of McLeod's demonstrated superiority over Parr. Ho met the Englishman a few weeks ago and had no trouble in throwing him. Another match between Arthur Kelter and George Bothner may be arranged provided the former will agree to scale the lightweight limit, 185 pounds. This, Kelter says, he can do, but there are plenty of HDorts who believe otherwise. Keltorisnow in fine shape and if he attempts to take off any more weight it will be a detriment to him. Kelter weighs about 143 pounds stripped. COPPER WORKS DOWNED. The American Smelting and Refin ing Company's team defeated the Raritan Copper Works first team by a scor$ of 12 to 9 Saturday afternoon.
