Early this morning a large red 'automobile whose number was 2,978, came speeding along New Brunswick | avenue until it got in front of Liddle , & Pfeiffers stable where it stopped with a sudden jerk. All kinds of res toratives were used, but to no avail. The machine would not move. A ma chinist was sent for but he could do j nothing with it, and the party which the auto contained, found themselves up against it. They were wondering how they were to get the machine to New York, when a friend in a small locomobile whose number was 5,166, New York, came along. They Pegged his assistance, and the big red machine was taken in tow by the small locomboile and a start made for New York. They found it necessary to make a round about tour to the Staten Island ferry, as it was unsafe to descend the Smith street hill. BOTH OF SOUTH AMBOY.
