The home of Mrs. Thornall, Jeffer son street, had a narrow escape from fire last night. A lighted lamp fell over and things were burning merrily when Sergeant Mulligan and others, who chanced to be near, came in and quenched the flames. Damages were about $35. CHURCH NEWS.
