ALBANY, N. V.. .(li t. 8. Thomas Brower, aged fourteen, is dead at the Albany hospital from the effects of a Flohert rifle bullet wound received in May, 1002. accidentally at the hands of a playmate. The bullet lodged in the boy’s spine, and for seventeen months he has been in the hospital practically motionless in a bath tub of water and suspended on elastic bands, lie was almost wholly para lyzed and wasted gradually away. The firm of Gannon & Sheehy, Smith street, seem to be having a great deal of trouble with the oval plate glass which they have in their show window. When they moved into the store some weeks ago, they were compelled to wait until two weeks ago when the glass arrived. Upon the opening of the boxes it was found that both plates had been broken in transport, Thov were sent back to the New \ork firm and yesterday two other panes arrived. The contractors, Donelme & Leavy, placed them in position and everything was all right. This morning, when the store was opened it was found that one of the panes had cracked and now the pro prietors are asking how it could have happened, and a notice in ♦he win dow, “This glass is cracked. Trenton, Oct. 8:—The State Board of Prison Inspectors met Tuesday and a committee was appointed to report on the proposed building of addition al cell space. Headaeepor Osborne reported that there are now 1,185 convicts in the prison and only 900 cells. The law provides that there shall be a cell for each prisoner. This pro vision cannot be complied with. The committee will investigate the need and it is liaely that the coming Legislature will be asked for an appropriation. The inspectors will meet October 22, when bids will be received for prison supplies for the coming six months. BAKING POWER GO. IS INCORPORATED.
