HUMS TO HEAR NSIED SPEAKERS Good Roads Will be Keynote of Addresses to be Given Next Friday. The main speaker at the meeting of the Middlesex motorists, which will be held Friday December 17, at the Mansion house, New Brunswick, will be President Α. V. Hamburg, of the State Automobile Association, who will take as his subject "Good Roads and Legislation for This Purpose." Mr. Hamburg is also president of the Newr-rk Board of Trade. Other speak ers at the meeting will be Colonel K. A. Stevens, the State Koad Commis sioner; H. A. Bonnell, of East Or ange, chairman of the Qood Roads Committee; J. H. Wood, of Newark, chairman of the Committee on Legis lation of the State Association; Judge W. Eugene Tin-ton, of Arlington, and A. G. Batcheldcr, of Washington, chairman of the Executive Committee of the A. A. A. Rober Carson, of New Brunswick, will be one of the speakers from this vicinity, he speaking on the question of toll charges on the Amboy bridge. A "dollar dinner" will be held pre vious to the meeting so as to make the affair more sociable. The pur pose of the meeting is to have a con ference of all of the motorists of Mid dlesex county and find what the needs aro and try to have better roads where needed. FREEHOLDERS RENEW $9,000 WORTH OFJCOUNTY BOMS Special to the KVENINO NEWS. New Brunswick, Dec. 10—A resolu tion was adopted by the Board of Freeholders at the meeting held yes terday afternoon, renewing $9,000 worth of county bonds. The total amount of this issue was $12,000 and one-fourth of this has been paid off. A letter was received from State Road Commissioner Stevens approv ing of the Schalk's station from Mon mouth Junction to Schalk's station.
