Newark, July 2».—'Twenty new cases of Infantile paralysie, Including on· death, were reported to the board of health for tweuty-fonr hours. Since Joly 1 there hare been 227 cases In this city, with fifty-eight deaths. The disease bad Its origin in the Tenth ward and most of the cases hare been reported from that district. The health board has decided that there will be a two weeks' period of quarantine following fumigation In all cases In which a patient has been sent to a hospital or dies. Heretofore the health authorities stopped observation with the day the premises had been fumigated. The purpose of the two weeks' quarantine following fumiga tion is to observe members of the household where a member had be come 111. The first case of the disease at Col llngwood resulted fatally.
