WALTER J. REILLY TALKS BEFORE K. OF C. SESSION Walter J. Rellly gare a talk on the compensation act at the meeting of San Salvador Council No. 298, Knights of Columbus, held last night. There were a number of the new » members of the council that recently Joined the council out at thin time and were welcomed by Qrand Knight John Powers and the other officer» of the conncil. Complete Arrange ments were nmde for the dance and reception in Palace hall Monday night when the Ford automobile for the benefit of the council will be awarded. The dancing will be held from 8 to 12 o'clock and the award ing of the car will be at 10 o'clock. About three-quarters of the num ber of tickets for the automobile have been disposed of by the mem bers so far was the report of the committee in charge of the affair. Fred O'Brien's orchestra will furnish the music for the dancing. A discus sion concerning alterations to the property of the council in 8tate street took place at the meeting. Plans were talked over for putting the building, which is situated at 2 S3 State street, in condition so that it can be occupied as quarters for the council until such time that a new clubhouse and home can bo erected on the property which was purchased ( for that purpose some time ago. The meeting last night was one of the . most enthusiastic that tlio council : has held In some time. Following the talk of Mr. Rellly | y the members were entertained with j selections by Engene Bird. PARENT-TEACHERS ENJOY SESSION AT SCHOOL NO, 7! ■ The Parent Teachers Association of No. 7 School held a meeting? yester- ; day afternoon at which time an inter- [ eeting program was enjoyed. The work of organization did not take place at this time although a nominat- : ing committee was appointed com-, posed of Mrs. Ludwig Wolff, Mrs.' Kossi, Mrs. Douglas Fraser and Miss d'Arveau, whose duty It ν ill be to nominate certain ones for various positions. The election Is expected to take place at the next meeting;. A delegation of four teachers from Woodbridge township was present to get points upon how the organization was conducted, the members of this delegation having In mind the or ganizing of a similar body in Woodbridge township. Among thoso in this delegation were the Misses Meyers, Hutchinson, Hilton and Hub ΕΓ. The children of the school gave (he following program: two songs, by school chorus; recitation, "Santa Clans," by William Huleizer; recita tions by Jerome Wolff, J ο hp Hall and Traver Halse; song, "Christmas Eve," Mildred Rossi; recitation, "My Shad ow," John Dixon, Sly via Bjork and Irene Hulse; recitation, Aaron Par got; song, "Christmas Tree," twelve primary pupils; recitation, "The Sandpiper," by Kllen Counihan; song, Evening on the Lake. Principal Joseph Walker spoke to the parents, telling of the work be ing done in the school to preserve the good health of the children and also of the use of the victrola.
