It’s a national custom for all who can, to wear
one’s “best” on a holiday. You can expect it of
others—others expect it of you. To be well drssed,
becomingly dressed, on a holiday is to be happy.
Whether you go away or stay at home matters lit
tle. But to be carelessly or incorrectly attired, even
where amusement is greatest, is to invite an attack
of “the blues.”
No woman of discernment needs to be told the ad
vantages of buying The Wilk Co.’s apparel. She
knows it has something more than its modest prices
to recommend it. She knows that others will recog
nize this “something” at a glance.
It is an undisputable fact that any Wilk Co. gar
ment, or accessory of dress, is desirable at any
price and particularly appealing at the price you
are asked to pay for it. You may as well convince
yourself of it today as any day, and enjoy the
holiday.

Inspired by the distinguished simplicity with
' which Vionnet, the newest star of Parisian Style
dom, has achieved so remarkable a success. These
beautiful new dresses will win the admiration of
every woman.
They are here far in advance of the time they
would ordinarily have arrived to meet the inces
sant demand for dresses of this character. A de
mand that has continually kept our stocks depleted
in spite of our sincerest efforts to keep abreast of it.
Only by calling upon the makers of our early
fall models have we found it possible to secure this
really—for the moment-- sufficient number of fash
ionable and fascinating, all occasion dresses.
Their graceful, long lines, the charmful effects
of their self-colored ruffles, pleatings, fringes and
other style touches—and lastly, but above all, their
dignified simplicity stamp them unquestionably as
dresses of the highest type.
