' KEASBEY * The scheduled meeting Sunday of the Firemen's Relief Association of the Fourth Fire District of Wood bridge Township was postponed due to the lack of a quorum. Alex Holz mann, of Protection Fire Company No. 1, was chosen to attend the an nual relief firemen’s convention at Atlantic City this fall. During the electric storm here Sunday night a lightning bolt struck the home of George Schmith, in Smith street. The damage was slight. Several firemen of Protection Fire Company No. 1 were quickly on the scene to check the fire had the building started to burn. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer LaForge en tertained relatives at their home Sunday. Mrs. Margaret Day, of Plainfield, visited relatives here Sunday. Friends of William Bertram, Jr., are pleased to learn of his rapid re covery from his recent operation at V the City Hospital. Mr. Bertram was stricken last Thursday with acute appendicitis. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pfeiffer, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schuster and son Kenneth motored to Plainfield, Sun day.
