t METUCHEN SCHOOL JOBS * AWARDED AT MEETING 9 i METUCHEN, Sept. 9:—At a spe cial meeting held yesterday the Board of Education awarded con tracts in connection with the erec tion of a four room addition to the Franklin school, on which bids were received Tuesday night. The con tractors plan to start their work im mediately so that the new addition will be ready for occupancy by Feb ruary 1. Gustave Kente, of Hoboken, was given the general contract. His bid was $36,580. George W. Ord, of Plainfield, was awarded the contract for electrical work for $1,339. George H. Stillwefl of Perth Amboy received the heating and ventilating contract, his bid being $6,500, and the Buist, Lane, Richards Company of New Brunswick the plumbing and disposal work, for which he bid $6.09*. Bids were received for other work at Tuesday night's session. It is be lieved this work will total about $6,000. It is believed the work as now figured will cost about $59,000. The Board of Education issued bonds for this work in the amount of $60,000. AV<'«ls Mctiichcn Man. METUCHEN, Kept. 9.—Theodore B. Hunt, son of Dr. and Mrs. Hunt, was quietly married yesterday to Miss Louise Leathers, of Missouri. The ceremony was performed at Princeton by a great uncle of the groom. After the wedding the couple left for Annapolis where Mr. Hunt is an instructor. Mr. and Mrs. Hunt ■will take a short honeymoon trip and upon their return will make their home at Annapolis.
