* BAG SNATCHER AGAIN ESCAPES Gets $32 at Keyport From Woman~“Peeper” Also at Large in Borough _ KEYPORT, Jan. 8—Keyport’a! bap snatcher, whose operations hai [ ceased for the past two weeks, re- J .sumed activities Saturday night, • v ben lie successfully snatched the bag carried by Mrs. William Arose a 11c. secured the sum of $32. Mr.i. Arose was on her way to the busi ness section and was walking along Harrison street not far from her I nme. when the. man approached ^ made a grab for list's bag and ran ^B away before she had time to make any effort to regain it. ¥ Her husband heard her screams f rushed to the sidewalk in time to see .-the man running. Mr. Arose immediately gave chase and followed the fellow to Atlantic street, where lie lost track of him. All persons who have been accosted by the snatcher give the same description of him and although drastic efforts have been made to capture him he still at large. *‘Jack the Peeper” also again made his appearance In the Maple place section of the borough Satur day night, when he looked into the windows of the. George S. Hyer res idence on Main street. Not content with this he tapped against, the windows and rang the door bell badly frightening Mrs. flyer and the children, who were home alone at the time. Word was sort to the 4>oliee headquarters and Officer Asbury Mount made a searen of the vicinity without finding any trace of the man. This nuisance has been going on for some time and the residents of this section have been considerably aroused over the actions of this per son who undoubtedly is a degener ate of considerable degree. Efforts to capture him have also failed, though e#ery effort to do so has been exerted.
