WALKER WINS BOUT ON POINTS Outfights Former Pal at New ark Armory Last Night Mil key Walker Is credited with scoring a victory on points over Georgia Ward in the great dash of Elizabeth welterfc whieh was singed in the Newark armory last night. A record crowd turned out to witness the twelve-round battle of former pals, and Ward although a 7 to 5 fa.vorito before the fight, received considerable punishment from the younger boxer. The result of t'he fight does not alteet Ward's standing as welter champion of tho state, inasmuch as a knockout would only make a change. Walker started tho bout strong and in the second round sent his opponent to the canvas for a count of nine. Both men weakened after the sixth round but the last round was fought in whirlwind fashion.
