An Ordinrince entitled. “An Ordinance to
License Boarding Houses for Children or
Infants wlthjn the incorporated limits of
tii*} City of jYcrth Amboy, 'ew Jersey.
Definitions: A Boarding House for Chil
dren or Infallts shall mean any hous?,
home or other pku-o conducted by .any per
son. persons nr combination of persons,
who advert!:*© themselves or hold
themselves out as conducting a
boarding houic for children or who
has in their caistody or control, one or
more children unattended by parent or
guardian, for the purpose of providing for
such children, with food or lodging ex
cepting children rclaied D them by bio >d
or marriage or have been legally adopted.
1. It shall he unlawful for any person,
persons or combination of persons, to con
duct n hounc of thjs character in the
limits of tl*- City of Perth Amboy union*

of Perth Amboy, N. J.
L\ No licence shall be granted by the
Board of Ileaf|h for a. term exceeding one
year and any license which shall have
been issued by tfiid Board, may be revoked
bv the same Board for cause.
Z The Bon rtf of Health reserves the
right to make any rule of regulation
which thev shall, from time to time, find
necessary for the better control of such
homes and any violation of these rules
or regulations, shall be considered a viola
tion of this section of the ordinance.
Penalty. Upon the conviction of any
parson, persons or combination of person*,
of a violation of this ordinance, the pen
ally shall be a fine of not less than $10.90
nor greater than $50.00.
