WASHINGTON. May 4.—Charles
Crown, prohibition enforcement di
rector for New Jersey, has launch
ed a state-wide campaign against
the physicians and druggists of New
Jersey who are alleged to have been
over-prescribing and supplying li
quor for imaginary ills, he advised
Commissioner Haynes today. The
. action was taken coincident with
the issuance through all directors of
the new forgery-proof, non-transfer
able physicians’ prescription blanks,
1: was said.
( Supervising Agent Main, who has
been surveying conditions of this
character in New Jersey, reported to
Commissioner Haynes today as fol
lows:
"In New' Jersey reputable physi
cians and druggists have asked that
thf practice he stopped and revoca
tion proceedings instituted. There
will be similar campaigns in other
parts of the country, the object of
which is to cut nrt one of the few
remaining sources of supply. The

and druggists is proving most help
