A special train is scheduled to leave Newark to take negro delegates from that I city to the resort. The announced "Mass Conven Itlon” i* railed under the auspices of the "Crisp us Attucks Protective I.eague." wiyi headquarters in New ark. The organisation takes its name from t'rispns Attucks. who was the first negro to fall in the ' Revolutionary War, and for whom a i statute is erected on Boston Com il is understood that the Attucks I.eague is working in harmony with I the "Independent Voters league, a I negro organization whirh up to now has taken the lead in attacks on Krellnghuysen. The head of that league, it is un derstood, the Rev. Samuel U I °r rothers. Democratic leader, will he a candidate for the gubernatorial! endorsement of nest ,a gathering of negroes, while Dr. t. \V 1. Roundtree.
