School Fund Is To Be Disbursed Day It Falls liue. Frankfort. For the first time in twenty years, tho State School fund this year will bo disbursed nmong the coun ties and cities as it falls due. The last instalment of some $492,000 will be come duo February 1. This year the payments commencing in October have boon made promptly, and, including tho February 1 installment, tho Treasury will havo disbursed to tho schools over $3,000,000 for tho school year. In pre vious years the Fcbrnnry payment has been delayed as lato as tho following 'June. Itecogniing tho necessity for isolat ing tubercular patients, in order to stop the spread of tho great "White Plague," some of Maysvillo 's good Indies aro interesting themselves in a movement to establish a hospital to tako care of that class of incurablo's who have no mentis of assisting them selves. It has been an enforced cus tom here cither to lcavo this class of patients in their homes, surrounded by tho very poorest accommodations for their treatment, and thoreby endanger ing other members of thoir fnmilies; or to send them to tho Alms house that has no special apartments for them there to minglo with, nnd jeopardize the health of thoso whom circumstances compcll to remain in this institution. Maysvillo has always responded, nob ly when its attention was called to a worthy cause, and hero is certainly ono that merits the helping hand of every citizen. Tho traffic ordinance provides that every vehicle shall bo kept as near tho right hand curb as posslblo, and in turning into nothor street to tho right shall turn the corner as near the right hand curb as practicable, and when turning into another shoot to tho loft shall turn around the inter section of tho streets. It also providos that no vchiclo shall stop with tho loft side to tho curb. Any person violating any of tho provisions of this ordinance shall bo subject to a fine of not loss than ten nor moro than $25.00 for each offense. The ordlnanco regulating tho speed of automobiles or other motor vehicles providos that they shall not bs operated on a public street in tho City of Mays ville at a groater rato of speed than twelve miles an hour, and a greater rato of speed than six miles an hour at intersections, curves, crossings or bridges or othor points or places whoro traffic is so congested as to mako the running of said vehicle at a greater rate of speed dangerous, and a fine of not loss than $5.00 nor more than $50.00 is provided for the violation of this ordi nance A strict observanco of theso or dinances will provent accidents, and mako travel on our streets safe.
