have done it as well as we know they
would. Glenn Hunter Is the same pa-'
thetically absurd, heroic, Mertain Gil:,
whom Harry WilBon created, and Flor
ence Nash is perfect as "That Mou
tague Girl." The! racting helps to
keep the play true to the book, but it
was In the making of the play that
things might easily have lost their val
ues. So all of us who reveled In the
comedy of the story give thanks.

Winifred Holt, young god-mother to
the Lighthouse for the Blind, has done
a thing which makes her hold upon
our hearts stronger than ever. When
invitations were Issued for her mar
riage to Graves Mather, she asked all
her friends to give only moned as their
wedding gifts; and that money is being
turned over to the Lighthouse. Mr.
Mather himself responded with a
check for $3,600 which is already be
ing used for her blind protegees, and
the outside public was so appealed to

for five thousand dollars was received.

tucky were urged to Join the junior
agricultural clubs conducted by the
University of Kentucky In a proclama
tion issued by Governor Morrow. The
campaign for membership in the clubs
will run from November 20 to 25, ac
cording to the proclamation, this time
being set aside as junior agricultural
week.

out that limestone helps them got bet
tor stands of sweet clover and other
legumes, County Agent Morris M. Gor.
don reports. Sixtw tons of limestone
recently were used by farmers In the
county in one month.
