Bl to make the following ataiement of (he extra. ordinary effects of your valuable medicine the ALTERATIVE. I certify that my wife was afflicted for fourteen years, during which time her disease baffled the kill of several eminent Physicians, and after find ing that every means that were used failed to re lieve her, I concluded to place her in the Penn sylvania Hospital, hoping that the care and treat ment she would there receive from the Physicians ill that institution, she might again be restored lo health. Buttoroy great disappointment.shegrew worse, and become entirely deranged iu her mind, ad I wu obliged to take hei home agiiu "incu BABlc" and BEREFT OF REASON. I will here mention that at this time the more prominent symptoms of her disease were Dyspepsia and Liv r Complaint, attended with sickness of the stom ach, and vomiting of a very offensive fetid mucus, pains in her head, back and stonach, and in the re gion of the heart, with voilent attacke ol Colic, troublesome cough from large quantities of phlegm in her throat; which kept her continually gagging and retching to throw it up. She had no appetite and wu very weak. She also suffered very much from a uterine diteane by which she was confined to ber bed. Add lo all the above, the deranged Mat of her mind, (which at this time was truly aw ful.) and you will be able to form some idea of her afflictions. By the advice of a friend we commenced giving ner your ALTERATIVE, in the doses of a tea spoonful three times a day, and lound that it help ed ber.' We also gave your Vermifuge to Increase fcer appetite, and the Sanative Piili to- regulate her bowels. She had not taken two bottles of (be ALTERATIVE, before it operated upon her in wouoderful manner, filling her face with small red pimples, and caused her to expectorate large quantities ol corruption, before which, her breath was as offensive we could not remain in the room with her unless the doors were open. Finding the ALTERATIVE doing her to much good, we in creased the dose according to the directions, and he continued lo Improve daily, until finally ihi WAS RESTOREO TO HEALTH, IN BODY AS WELL vASIH MIRD. I hop you will delay no'tiine In laying this be fore the public, as I am willing to be qualified at any lima to the truth of the above statement, and that h was your ALTERATIVE which cured her. v V ' SAMUEL FIELDS. , ; ' '' ' ' Bedford above Marlboro Street , The above is from a well known and worthy eiti Ma of Kensington, and a member of the Methodist Cburch, and hundreds of families in that neighbor hood will testify to the truth of bis statement Prepared only by Dr. D. Hence our hostility has been strong and uncompromising a gainat every thing in the line. But at length our prejudices have been forced to yield to the im mense amount of testimony in favor of Dr. Wis tar's Balsam of Wild Cherry. Judging from what we have seen and heard ol its effects,we pronounce it the most fortunate combination of medical agents ever discovered, for the cure tif Consumption; and indeed, it appears to be perfectly master of all pul monary complaints. We advise the public to make an immediate and fair trial of it, and they will then praise it more warmly than we have done See Advertisement. My friends persuaded me lo give it s trial, tho' I had given up all hopes of recovery, and had pre pared myself tor the change of another world. Through their solicitation I was induced to make use ol the lienunie wistars naisam or wild Cherry. The effect wm truly astonishing. After five years of affliction, pain and suffering, and af ter having spent four or five hundred dollars to ne purpose, and the best and most respectable physi cians had proved unavailing, I was soon restored to entire health by the bleasing of God and the use of Dr. Wistar's Balsam ot Wild Cherry. 1 am now enjoying good health, and such is my altered appearance, that I am no longer known when I meet my former acquaintances. I have gained rapidly m weight, and my flesh is firm and solid. I can now eat as much as any person, and my food seems tn agree with me. 1 have eaten more during Ihe last six months, than I hid eaten in five years before. Considering my case almost a miracle, 1 deem it necessary for trie good of the afflicted, and a du ly I owe to the proprietors and my fellow men, (whs should know where relief may be bad,) to make this statement public. May the Blessings of God rest upon the pro prietors of so valuable I medicine as Wistar's Bal sam of Wild Cherry. Yours, respectfully. WM. 11 BAMCK. BEWARE OF COUNTERFEITS.
