Propositi .Amendment to Section Three' and Five, Article Four, of the Constitution, Reorganizing1 the Judiciary of the state. , Be it Resolved by the General Assembly of the Stat of, Ohio (three-fifths of all the members elected to each House concurring therein.! That propositions to amend the Constitution of the State of Ohio be sub mitted to the electors of the State on the second Tuesday of October, A. D. 1879, as follows, to-iwlt i That Sections 3 and 5 of article 4, entitled "Judicial," be amend ed so as to be and read as follows : Section 3 Tbe State shall be, divided Into nine common pleas districts, of which the county of ..Hamilton, shall constitute one, which districts shall be of compact territory, bounded by county linen and said districts, other than said, county of Hamilton, shall, without cliyiston of conn ties, be further divided into sub-divisions. in each of which, and in said -county of iiammon, ; mere iaj ixv elected by the electors thereof, respeotivclyt least one judge of the- court of common (pleas for the district and residing iherein.; Courts of common pleas shall be held by one or more of these judges i every county of me district, as oicen as may be provided by law, and "more than one' court! ov sit ting thereof inajt be held at the sariie time in each district. - Sec. 6. Th times of holding common pleas and district courts shall be fixed by law, but the General Assembly may authorize the Judges of said courts, respectively, to fix the times the holding of said courts. -At said election the voters desiring to vote in favor of this amendment, shall have placed upon their ballots the words, "Judicial Constitutional Amendment, Yes;' and the voters who do not favor the adoption of said amendment, may have placed upon their ballots the words, "Judicial Constitutional Amendment, No;" and if a majority of all the votes cast at said election be in favor of said amend ment, then said sections three and five herein specified, ghall be and constitute the sections so numbered in the said Judi cial article of the Constitution of the State of Ohio; and said original sections three and five shall be repealed. A REMARKABLE TEMPERANCE MAN. ilftnj- years ago,"ColoneI Lemanousky, who had been twenty-three years in the army of Napoleon Bonaparte, arose in a temperance meeting, tall, vigorous, and with the glow' of health on his face, and made the following remarkable speech : "You see before. you a man seventy years old.
