And he had very few criminal cases. Justice John is a fine entertainer. Yes terday he surprised his guests by having a marriage ceremony performed in court. Ltwis Gibson, a colored youth, was charged with betraying Kate White under promise of marriage. Gibson consented to marriage, and so did the woman. So ;■ colored minister was .seemed and thu matrimonial knot was tied then and there. ■ Kato Jefferson, a colored woman, was charged with entering box-car No. 7S7G, of the Chesapeake and Ohio railxcad, ana stealing a lot of 'coal. Whether the report, will be unanimous is open to doubt, as three of the members of the committee arc; not. counted on as positively: favorable to the course indi cated, and this may result in the submis sion of a minority report The minority view, if submitted., will probably deal -with the; prima facie right to be sworn in on credentials which are regular, and will recommend that Roberts be sworn in and thereafter expelled.
