STEBBINS : I desire to state in Bupport of the resolution that there are several committees which have ; very Important matters under consideration, «nd to-morrow night the conferences" on the suffrage question will be resu.-c r£. so that it "will be absolutely neces parv. if those committees &re to do any -effective work, that they shall have the afternoons to themselves. Therefore, I". think it is necessary that the Conven tion should do away with the afternoon fessiens until there are more reports from committees before the - h body. • As far as the hour of meeting is oojioerned I, myself, would prefer 10 o'clock, but some members seemed to think that the session would be too «hort and preferred 9 o'clock.
