M. VIncs and Rev. V. I. Matthews. Tho
facts emphasized were these: Only 21
per cent. of the South !s evangellzed:
7 per cent. ls Roman Cathollc. and 62
per cent. has no church afllliatlon.
Baptists were reported as being
more numerous ln tho South than any
other denomlnatlon, and therefore
thelr obllfratlon is greater. The Home
Mlssion Board reported 27,000 Bap
ti-tns the past year and 52,000 addi
tions to church. Mr. Matthews said
no other home mlssion board reported
one-half as many baptlsms and addl
tlons of members. Dr. Vines said tho
