Doctor's Prescription Failed The Great Kidney Remedy Proves Its Merit. It gives me great pleasure to say a good word for Dr. Kilmer's Swamp-Root, be? cause it has cured mc of a severe case of Kidney Trouble. I had suffered for sonic five years with this trouble, and more especially for the first three mouths of 1909. Physicians prescribed for mc, but with? out much success, and any relief obtained v. as only temporary. I had severe pains in my back, and at no time was I free of pain. When I stooped down it was with some difficulty that I could straighten my body again. I could not lilt any weight of consequence without great pain. I would be compelled to arise and give the bladder relief. A friend of mine advised I me to take Swamp-Root) whereupon I i wrote to Dr. Kilmer for a sample bottle, i which so benefited mc that I was led to ; believe it would be a great help to inc. ' Accordingly I purchased two bottles of j Swamp-Root from Mr. A. P. Perry, my druggist, and the effect has been truly marvelous. I feel like a new man, and have every reason to believe- that I am cured, and that no other medicine could have accom dished so much. Now I can raise a heavy i oad, can bend my back over iny desk ail I day, and feel none the worse for it. In ; view of the foregoing facts, I sincerely trust that this testimonial may reach some of th(jr,e who are suffering after the man ncr before described, and thai it may eon- ', vincc them that the merit of this great medicine should be given a fair trial in I their case. As a result of a ruling by the Vir? ginia Bureau of Insurance to the effect that Insurance societies, even though limiting their beneficiaries to mem? bers of some regular fraternal order, must hnve Independent lodge, systems, ritualistic work and representative forms of government. In order to con? form to the law, the Brotherhood Ac? cident Company, of Boston, has with? drawn from business in Virginia. This Interests a great number of people, since tho society has more than 2,000 members In Virginia alone, all of them Odd-Fellows. Those who now belong will, ol course, lose nothing. They may con? tinue their payments and receive bene? fits as before. The difference is that no new meml ers may be solle'ted oi any additional insurance written in this State. Wanted Rvlllence. As previously .stated In The Times Dispatch, the bureau began the year with a demand for compliance with the law respecting fraternal beneficiary societies. It sent out notices requiring each sucii association, when applying for a renewal of Its annual license, to furnish evidence that it was a bona li.le fraternal society, with a lodge system, with ritualistic work and with a representative form of government, it was predicted at the time that more than one organization would fail t.. secure a renewal of license under this ruling, which follows the lines laid down by tho law. The Brotherhood Accident Company showed no disposition to quibble or to evade the statute. Its representa? tive frankly stated that It had in itself no ritualistic work or what nilghl strictly be known as a lodge- system. Yet it writes business only among Odd-Fellows In good standing. Accordingly, Judge Hough's injunctions against the Ford Motor Company, Panhard & l^vaszer and others, restraining them front using the Otto engine, on the ground of Infringement must be dismissed by tiie lower court, to which the causes were remanded with such instruction.
